It was a great meeting, excellent attendance. And other than the first day, very little rain. Ron Chilton, retired, received an award from IAEI for his many years of participation on CMP-19 and also, the 2016-2017 Distinguished Service Award from NC Ellis Cannady Chapter. Tommy Green, DOI, received Inspector of the Year from the NC Chapter. Also, Jerome Dixon, Discca Electric received the Associate Member of the Year from the Chapter. We appreciate all they have done and continue to do.
David G. Humphrey, President of the Southern Section, IAEI and his wife attended. They traveled from Henrico County, VA. Mr. Humphrey as the senior ranking member of IAEI administered the oath of office to our incoming officers. Mark Griffin took the oath as our 2017-2018 President on NC Ellis Cannady. We congratulate him and are confident he will do a great job.
Our Code panel was Jeffrey Fecteau, UL, Gerald Higgins, Educator, Thomas Domitrovich, Eaton, Chris Faucette, DOI, Jessica Yelverton, DOI Qualification Board and Al Parrish, NCBEEC. they did a great job and their time and effort was very much appreciated. They provided much needed information.
Among our vendors were MET Labs, TUV, GCS, Duke Energy, Intertek,. The representation from these agencies was very helpful. The reps were available to answer questions concerning their products, programs, etc. It is so helpful for inspectors and contractors to meet and get to know each other. It makes us all better at our jobs.
Our continuing education credit for inspectors and contractors was upgraded from 8 hours to 12 hours. Thank you DOI and NCBEEC.
We had a great time, learned a lot and enjoyed our comradery with old friends and met new ones.
Hope to see you next year!
